Hagerty Hall

      Hagerty Hall in which my girlfriend work is the building that I visited almost everyday in pass year and half. it is very nice four-floor building and cross the Ohio Union Parking Garage. As most people know it is Foreign Language Center of the OSU. However, today, I would like to talk about several interesting things that I found from Hagerty Hall. Frist, Hagerty has six entrances in all sides of building. that is interesting because I have never found this numbers of doors in the other building. I believe this could be a symbol of embrace that it opens to all of foreign countries no matter where you come from. It shows a equality of academic in the world. Further more, there is a cafe in the first floor, and TVs are on the walls around the cafe and they provide all different TV shows from different countries. Therefore, when people take break between classes, they can have a cup of coffee, choose a comfortable seat and watch the TV shows from their own countries. This place is the best place that  people can meet people from different countries. This place improves communication between counties, and make people have chance to know people from foreign countries and to learn different cultures. If you want to learn a little bit foreign language but not from formal class, here is the best choice       

my feeling

place and identity are always important in our studies, whenever we want to describe an event or write down a story they can improve our story. At least I can use description of place and identity to achieve the words limit requirement when I could not find a lot of things to write. Also place and identity are important in our lives. they help me to know people batter. I can deeply know who they are and why they do something like this. I remember when I was a rugby player, I used to traveled a lot. every time I traveled to a new country or new city, place and identity could define the people, and I could know them batter and show my respect to them. that is a amazing thing and I can improve myself by their culture. When I first came to United States, a lot of things I was not formilar with, but the culture, the city which I am living in and people give me a first lesson to know why they are so different with my past knowledge, but later I engaged in my new life of living in United States more and more, I found I could understand a little bit of their behavior. Right now, I feel my mind has changed and I could think thing in different ways. For my future, I hope I could be good at description of those two things and I could have the real writing work for people.
